•TETHER RIDES•

Tether rides include the choice of a hot air balloon that can accommodate an average of 3-4, 6, 8 or 10 passengers per tether ride. Each ride can last from as little as 1 minute up to 5 minutes in the air.  Once on the ground, the passengers are switched and the next flight lifts off. Our balloons can carry between 60 and 150 passengers per hour per balloon.

A tethered hot air balloon is secured to the ground or structure to provide passenger flights without the balloon flying away. We are highly experienced and well-equipped to perform tethered balloon activities for many different environments and conditions. Our experience and top tether systems allow us to accomplish successful tethers when conditions are less than ideal.

UP TO 4 PASSENGERS (PER TETHER RIDE) BALLOON TETHER PACKAGE:

• $2,000 for 2 hours plus equipment transportation fee (Equipment transportation fee is based on distance > 30 miles from our warehouse and may include other travel expenses if applicable)

• $900 per hour for additional time or any portion thereof

• 60+ passengers per hour (based on 4 minute tether rides)

UP TO 6 PASSENGERS (PER TETHER RIDE) BALLOON TETHER PACKAGE:

• $3,000 for 2 hours plus equipment transportation fee (Equipment transportation fee is based on distance > 30 miles from our warehouse and may include other travel expenses if applicable)

• $1,000 per hour for additional time or any portion thereof

• 90+ passengers per hour (based on 4 minute tether rides)

UP TO 10 PASSENGERS (PER TETHER RIDE) BALLOON TETHER PACKAGE:

• $4,000 for 2 hours plus equipment transportation fee (Equipment transportation fee is based on distance > 30 miles from our warehouse and may include other travel expenses if applicable)

• $1,500 per hour for additional time or any portion thereof

• 150+ passengers per hour (based on 4 minute tether rides)

•STATIC DISPLAY•

A static display is when the balloon is used as a backdrop for an event, but no tethered rides are given. We’ve performed static displays at celebrity events to keep paparazzi in helicopters at bay. At night, the balloon will glow like a giant lantern. Corporate clients have us bring multiple balloons for an unforgettable backdrop to their event. Night glowing balloons look awesome!

•BALL DROP BALLOON TETHER•

A ball drop is a very specific type of tether designed for charities and contests. Numbered golf balls are placed inside the basket and the balloon is tethered over a putting green. On signal from the client, the golf balls are dropped onto the putting green. Winners are selected based on the distance to the pin.

• PHOTO BOOTH / COLD AIR INFLATABLE BALLOONS•

Looking for an interesting way to man a booth at a festival or convention? Want to add a unique entertainment option to your wedding receptions, college events, private parties, company picnics, and homecoming? We have two full sized hot air balloon baskets with 16 foot high inflated vinyl cold air balloons. It looks like a regular hot air balloon but does not lift off the ground. Your guests can stand in the basket and take pictures, as if they were on a hot air balloon ride. The envelopes light up at night adding even more flair to your special event.

Additionally, we sell other rooftop balloons, blimps and other inflatables for purchase through Inflatables International. Our experienced staff will purchase, install and disassemble these commercial aerial advertising systems for a small service fee.

COLD AIR INFLATABLE BALLOON PACKAGE:

• $800 for each 24 hour day rental and security deposit

TETHER SITE REQUIREMENTS

● Tether site should be a grassy or paved area, relatively level in slope.
● Balloon requires a minimum of 150 ft radius of unobstructed tether space.
● Tether site should be clear of obstructions, such as light poles, trees, buildings, etc.
● Power lines should be a minimum of 250 feet from the balloon.
● Balloon tether requires four tie-down anchors around perimeter, such as light pole bases, mature trees or vehicles. Tether operator may supply either one or two vehicles for tie-downs, depending on agreement. Vehicles must have access to drive on-site.
● Optimum tether site is in a relatively low-lying area to help minimize the effect of high winds on the balloon.
● If client is unsure the location is suitable, a physical onsite inspection with one of our staff is available for $100 plus travel expenses.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

● 50% deposit to secure tether reservation.
● Client must provide two volunteers to assist with security and passenger handling.
● Table, chairs and water for volunteers.
● All necessary permits and permissions to perform tether at client location.
● Additional tie-down points for balloon (volunteer vehicles, heavy tractors, mature trees, light poles, etc.)

ARRIVAL / SET-UP / TAKE-DOWN

● Our commercial pilot and ground crew will arrive 1-2 hours prior to start of tether to set-up.
● Set-up usually requires 30-45 minutes once on-site.
● The ideal set-up is a recently mowed grassy area (like golf course or park), ball field, etc.
● Take-down usually requires 30-45 minutes from deflation of balloon.

WEATHER REQUIREMENTS

● All tethers are performed at the discretion of the pilot in command.
● Hot air balloons cannot safely carry passengers in winds over 6 mph. Tethered balloon rides are ideal with calm winds not exceeding 6 mph.
● If winds exceed the maximum for passenger carry, or gusty wind conditions exist, hot air balloons may be able to inflate without passengers for display purposes.
● Should the event be postponed due to weather or other circumstances prior to balloon team travel, tether may be rescheduled or cancelled. We will consult with client prior to leaving our warehouse should we be concerned about weather.
● If balloon team arrives to the tether site but is unable to tether due to weather or other reasons out of the operator’s control, client is responsible for the equipment transportation fee, plus any other travel expenses if applicable.
● Once the tether has commenced, the entire 2 hour minimum has been earned - even if weather or other circumstances interrupt/terminate the tether.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We require 72 hours advance notice of cancellation for any reason other than weather, otherwise the deposit is forfeited. Our piloting staff will make weather cancellation decisions after consulting with the client.
